Very Fine Large Antique Early 20th Century Full Length Nude Oil Painting WATELET. A sublime painting, executed on a large scale depicting a full length nude. A painting which exuberates charm, it is especailly sweet to see the sitter smiling. This oil painting is painted in superb proportion and the flesh tones are very accurate and natural - A very beautiful painting. We have had this painting professionally restored - cleaned / re-varnished and keyed out (making the painting competely taught) so the oil painting is now in lovely condition and ready to hang. We have had the oil painting recently professionally restored. The oil painting is on a fine weave canvas which is unlined. The canvas has been keyed out, before it was slightly rucked / slack to the top right corner but is now taught and has been fixed. The years of thick yellow cigarette smoke which previously effected and laid on to the varnish have been removed / cleaned and a new layer of varnish has been applied. Some previous overpaint to the right part of the oil painting. The frame is in good condition, there are a few chips and losses at the edges.
